FOL Program: The Mystery of the Channeled Scablands and the Two Detectives Who Solved It

Join the Friends of the Library on Wednesday, Dec. 10th from 1:00pm - 2:00pm at the Senior Center for a presentation by Lloyd Stoess, President of the Palouse Falls Chapter of the Ice Age Floods Institute.

Lloyd will be talking about the unique landscape of the Channeled Scablands and the mystery that baffled the first geologists who visited there over 100 years ago. "Finding clues, they unraveled the mystery which was unbelievable to their colleagues. After over two decades of discovering more clues, the theory that enormous floods had carved the scablands was finally accepted by most of the scientific community. Scientists are still finding clues today to better understand the mysteries in the Channeled Scablands of Washington."
